Eight partnerships between businesses and volunteer entities will benefit approx 2,700 people with special needs and vulnerable groups

Sant Cruz Council celebrates the V International Corporate Volunteering week.   A movement which takes place from the 7th to 14th may in 32 countries to promote corporate social responsibility. The volunteer Office of the Cabildo has helped to bring together eight partnerships between companies and social organizations to carry out volunteer activities during these seven days. They have achieved this through various media communications, including their webpage www.tenerifesolidario.org where companies could see details of different social organisations.

The participation of the Council in this initiative will help to improve the quality of life of those people more vulnerable by illness, disability or social exclusion. Eight partnerships were established this year between companies and volunteer organizations:  Plan B Group with the Parents Association of autism of Tenerife (Apanate); Cultesa with the Social reintegration of minors of Anchieta Association;  Tenerife casinos with the “En Pié” Foundation and Asinladi; Sinpromi Reindas Vivas Association and the San Juan Association ; MD services with the Sonsoles Soriano Foundation ; Professional Coaching School Lider-haz-go Canarias with Quiero ser como tú, ayúdame and Entrelazados, and finally, la red innovación social with the Imparci associations Imparci (about citizen participation) and Vive.
