Lisa Allard, founder and treasurer of En Pie describe sin this article for the Tenerife News Newspaper her own story about living with a son with a mental illness.
It was during living through this situation and realising the dire need for more support and help to be available to those in her situation that her and her husband Carlos Goertz decided to start the Foundation.
The foundation fight for social integration and against the stigma associated with severe mental illnesses and in order to do this they depend on private donations such as from our very special friend Mr John Reid – who after visiting us on the island donated a minibus to be able to carry out our activities, as well as taking part and fundraising personally in all our events.
